The International 2024 Stats and Meta Wrap Up

Support Spectral #

spectre-love-right

Hey! I am Lea (aka Spectral Leamare), and this is my personal site, where I host all my Dota related projects. Spectral.gg is an ads-free non-commercial project, aimed at archiving and documenting tournament stats, as well as researching data in Dota, giving players tools to improve and make Dota 2 better.

All of this started as a set of things I made out of passion, but it grew to be recognized and accepted in the community. Spectral.gg stats and tools are actively used by many Analysts and Casters, Tournament Organizers, Betting companies, TI-level esports teams and high ranked players.

If you rely on Spectral tools, you can help the community by keeping my work alive via donations and sponsorships!

Don't forget to check Donations Leaderboard page to see the heroes of Spectral community 💜

My Projects #

I make a lot of blog posts about data in Dota, experiments with stats and infographics. You can find a lot of the stuff following this link or by checking my Telegram/Discord/Twitter.

I also do a lot of tech support work for tournament broadcasts, do tech and esports consulting (including consulting redarding content) and occasionally join podcasts, shows and esports events as an invited talent to talk about Dota and data in esports.

In addition to that, I am actively working a couple of tools:

  • Stats Hub – (aka LRG2) a collection of tournament stats reports and Immortal Meta Trends
  • Guame – an advanced platform made for esports team (in private beta)
  • Nerds Hero Builds – a collection of in-game and off-game guides for people obsessed with Dota

Additional project I am maintaining:

  • D2-LRG-Metadata – a useful collection of Dota 2 metadata files
  • Courier – a hub of resources used by Dota 2, as well as additional things like manually redrawn higher resolution item icons, upscaled hero portraits and item icons, hero renderers, etc
  • Dota Interactive Map – cool and feature full interactive map of Dota (forked from Devilesk)
  • dota-map-coordinates – metadata describing Dota 2 map (forked from Devilesk)

As a nice bonus, here are some additional projects I am working on (but can't provide any information on when it going to be finished):

  • Dota Immortal Stats Lurker (and API)
  • P8 Stats Hub
  • Artifact Stats Hub
  • League of Legends Stats Hub
  • Project Codename Nerif
  • Project Codename Gondar

Frequently Asked Questions #

How much do you pay your crew? #

I don't have a crew. Everything on this site is done by me.

What do you need support for? #

Managing the servers and my own time investment into all these esports things. Keeping Spectral things afloat takes a lot of time and significant part of my income. Donations help to reduce the scale of the problem somewhat, and potentially might allow me to focus more on Dota and esports projects (which means more features and more time to work on cool stuff).

Why won't you add ads or make some features paid? #

I don't like ads as they tend to distract from the actual content while being irrelevant and more annoyign than not. I am not opposed to the idea of ads, but I am yet to see a good enough partnership suggestion (relating to ads).

Paid features are easier to approach. However, I believe that the data should be open and available to anyone. Because of this I am only willing to sell access to features that either deal with complex things, are experimental or more akin to additional services.

Higher donations tiers here are meant to be exactly that.

If what you are doing is “so good”, why do you even need this page? #

Most of my work is usually tied to contract work, and it's not as financially reliable (new contracts might happen, might not). Usually I was trying to cover the grounds via collaborations with teams, but as I'm leaning more in content and broadcast talent direction, the teams option kind of falls out of reach.

At the same time, a lot of people showed their interest in supporting my projects (including talents and orgs who rely on my work). This page is made for them and is meant to give a proper demonstration of what I can provide and how people can show their support.

Are you affiliated with Valve? Or any team/org? #

No and no. There were occasional partnerships and collaborations, but I am not affiliated with Valve, any team, org or TO at the moment.

Why not PayPal/Stripe/Liberapay? #

Unfortunately, these services do not work in my country.
